Level Crossing

[edit]

I think there should be mention of the numerous train vs car accidents at the level crossing here. --jazzle 13:49, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The link is bad, I don't know the actual postcode so can't improve it. I can however recommend http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&ie=UTF8&t=k&om=1&ll=51.510953,-0.882114&spn=0.001643,0.004989 or http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=51.51115~-0.882595&style=h&lvl=18 --jazzle 14:00, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As RG9 3NY seems close (if not actually correct) I have edited the link --jazzle 12:22, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am also contacting the National Rail Enquiries site to correct the listed postcode. -- jazzle 12:27, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've banged in an OS grid ref which should help, a gridref is pretty much invariant, unlike a postcode which can vary at the whims of the Royal Mail. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:24, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

There used to be two tracks, one each side of the platform, at Shiplake (and at Henley, don't know about Wargrave). There also used to be a footbridge and gates. Can anyone supply a photo and/or more information? --jazzle 12:17, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
