Shigisan-Engi, A Collection Of Scrolls?
[edit]I was curious if anyone would be able to shed some light on the reason why the article reads that the Shigisan Engi Emaki is a single scroll? I understand many sources seem to say this about it, but while researching it a bit I found an article from Kanagawa University stating that it's actually a collection of three scrolls.
Here's the source:
"Pictopedia of Everyday Life in Medieval Japan, Compiled from Picture Scrolls", Vol 1., Kanagawa University, February 2008, Pg. 81.
An English-language PDF of the document is available here: http://www.himoji.jp/jp/popup/publication/seika_010101.html
I would offer to update the article myself but I'm very bad at writing out proper citations.
