Spears → Spears (disambiguation)

- @User:In ictu oculi, actually I think it would be a bit awkward for me (as the proposer) to copy and paste another editor's !vote. Also, some of these have been contested, so I'm leery of using technical moves. I would also note that I have about 94 more of these to go, if anyone else wants to get in on checking the plural dabs against singular primary topics and proposing further moves. Oppose both of these.
- For Shields: The dab page shows that "Shields" is used for a large number of things separate from the singular - a surname, and multiple placenames - as well as several other entries. See Talk:Walls for a similar situation.
- For Spears: Likewise, the dab page shows that "Spears" is used for a surname, a placename, and multiple sports teams - which are nearly always referred to by the plural - as well as other entries. Again, see Talk:Walls for a similar situation.

It's more helpful to our readers to keep these as separate dab pages, per WP:PLURALPT. Dohn joe (talk) 14:03, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
