eyes
[edit]Is it my illusion? I found her eyes misaligned. Is it a birth defect? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kowloonese (talk • contribs) 06:15, 15 April 2003 (UTC)

Shouldn't this be mentioned in the article? Shannen's face is often used as an example of asymmetric beauty. And the wonky eye is quite mesmerizing.--141.225.34.224 01:04, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

our house
[edit]I added her credit for Our House. I can't believe this was overlooked; it was a major television role. Mike H 23:26, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
I added her appearance on Magnum P.I. I am surprised that was overlooked. On that episode we saw a blossoming career. Not only she was cute as a button girl, but a very mature talent.--Tjkphilosofe 11:38, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Ryan Seacrest
[edit]I heard thi mroning on her interview with Ryan Seacrest that one of her marraiges was annulled. She made it sound like Rick, only because she said the guy didn't have the same morals, values, etc. and we all know he is a slime ball! Anyone know which one was annulled? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.166.193.154 (talk • contribs) 15:53, August 22, 2006.
- Not sure, but if true, perhaps a little investigation should be done. A little internet searching perhaps? Give it a shot and report back here :) Joe Christl 11:17, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Most celebrities – particularly big-name actors, athletes or musicians – who are generally separated from public may be considered persons whose image may not be reasonably replaceable. In such cases a fair-use or publicity photo may be used. Please see http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Replaceability_of_fair-use_images#Living_people 67.184.10.55 01:18, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
The photo used on this page is titled "she just looks beat on this day." It's a picture of great looking 46 year old woman... who had just found out she had breast cancer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.173.0.16 (talk) 00:16, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Of the especially pointless and immature variety. Viz: height 8.2m, a line about someone killing her on 9 Feb. etc. (see edits). I've fixed it best I can though I know little about her (just came here to x-check something else. AM no editor so if anyone can keep an eye out for any more..? 84.71.58.89 00:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)spleenseven84.71.58.89 00:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Filmography
[edit]I think that the listings for her filmography should be listed in a chart like some of the other actor's. It is hard to look at. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.150.154 (talk) 22:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

italian origins?
[edit]her second name (Maria) and mother's name (Rosa) are italians... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.14.91.153 (talk) 18:09, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Maria and Rosa are SPANISH. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.43.29.198 (talk) 08:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Actually Maria is Hebrew and Rosa is of Germanic origin --41.151.62.202 (talk) 15:04, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Playboy
[edit]She was featured on Plaboy magazine in 1993. The article does not mention that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.105.163.162 (talk) 04:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, the article now mentions that. However, I just looked through the December issue (which the article claims she was in), and did not see her there. Is it wrong issue, or wasn't she in 1993 at all? I'm quite sure there isn't a solo pictorial in that issue, could have missed a single picture. 82.141.75.203 (talk) 20:25, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Source
[edit]The "source" at snimka.bg is not a good source. In fact, now that you've restored it, I'm challenging it. I replaced the required Playboy shoot sources with one from Yahoo! Movies. This is better and more proper source. I just don't think that the pictorial is a quality source. This is a biography and we are required to use high quality sources, not simple pictorials. We can take this to arbitration if you like. E_dog95' Hi ' 22:21, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yahoo! Movies does not support a 10-page pictorial on December 2003. See [3] "To add to the infamy, Doherty appeared partially nude in Playboy in 1993 and graced the cover of Hugh Hefner’s gentlemen’s magazine in1994." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petramis (talk • contribs) 22:33, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I see that. Yahoo movies says she was in Playboy. What we don't need is some non notable website to confirm that she was in yet another pictorial. The introduction of less than ideal "references" just is not necessary. It doesn't do justice to the article or Wikipedia. E_dog95' Hi ' 22:40, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
There should be a more recent photo of Shannen.
[edit]I think there should be a more recent, good photo os Shannen Dohetry instead of this 1991 Emmy photo of Shannen.I agree that in the article we should have a younger photos of her, with 90210 and Charmed, etc.I don't know how to post photos and am not a wiki member.Glad someone expanded the article, for Shannen Dohetry is a major tv actress.

Personally, I feel that photos of women should show them at their most attractive age (call me sexist if you will), and that generally pictures at "height of fame" are preferable to recent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.77.180.196 (talk) 16:38, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
The elephant in the room
[edit]Like it or not, eventually we are going to have to put something in here about her left eye being higher that her right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.66.14.6 (talk) 23:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Television and film career
[edit]The reason I lumped "Rise to fame (1990-1994)" and "Television stardom (1998-2005)" together is because it covers Doherty's entire tenure working with Aaron Spelling, which encompasses the period where she starred on TV series that experienced high ratings success and international recognition. Doherty's work after Charmed (1998-2001) is more appropriate for the "Later Career (2002-2008)" because it focuses on her work where she experienced success and failures without the association of Aaron Spelling. I also left the "Recent projects" section in tact, leaving on her future work (2009-present) within this section of the article. TJ 09:10, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Editor of Pasadena Magazine
[edit]Shannen is a Art Director for Pasadena Magazine a local Magazine in Southern California. Shes in charge of choosing cover designs and photospreds.(FYI Prue in became a photagrapher in sesion two of Charmed) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.118.32.5 (talk) 03:11, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Best-known-for in the introduction
[edit]Up at least till Charmed, I have typically seen her mentioned as "X in the Little House on the Praire" (or similar), and frankly I had no idea that she was in either Beverly Hills (which I have never watched) or Heathers (at least twice, if a long time ago).
Could it be that the introduction is too US-specific? 88.77.180.196 (talk) 16:36, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Enormous Photograph

Animal rights advocates
[edit]Recently, this 2014, Shannen has been involved in the "Tweet4Taiji" and with Sea Shapherd not only via twitter and facebook, helping them and raising awareness for the dolphins' killings, she has been with them during the Oz Comic-Con. She's very active in the social media sites helping with all these issues, and has been to demonstrations too. If you google a bit you'll find it. I think this should be on her biography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.32.117.89 (talk) 10:32, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
Republican Affiliation
[edit]On note 32 linking to HuffPo about a Complex Magazine article about Shannen's political affiliation, the link to Complex Magazine is actually on slide 13. When you follow that link (Why the actual Complex link wasn't used for the Foot Note is beyond me) it brings you to their website, so it seems it's a dead link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.28.71.176 (talk) 12:42, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Divorce
[edit]Does anyone know when or if her divorce was finalized? We know she filed in April 2023, but that does NOT mean a divorce is finalized.
Supposedly, by late 2023, the two were almost done their divorce battle,[4] but sources like this[5] seem to imply divorce proceedings are still happening or at least, that her husband is prolonging them? I'm obviously not a legal expert, but I see nothing confirming that a judge signed off the papers to finalize their divorce before the end of 2023. If some of this info is being kept more secret (despite her high profile status), then IDK about that. In her podcast, Doherty said that she was still going "through [a] divorce" and that "Doherty added she may not be ready to talk about what happened between her and Iswarienko until after the divorce — if at all".[6] Clear Looking Glass (talk) 05:36, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
According to this it was finalized. https://people.com/shannen-doherty-finalize-divorce-from-kurt-iswarienko-1-day-before-she-died-8678150 I updated the article. 207.181.229.220 (talk) 18:36, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- The source says it was finalized one day before her death. So the previous edits claiming that they divorced in 2023 were not true. Furthermore, another sources says she it was finalized "hours" before and that she was granted a posthumous divorce two days later. As in, an LA court judge signed the agreement and declared the couple divorced two days after she died.[7][8] Clear Looking Glass (talk) 02:59, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
