[edit]This page reads as pure promotional material. Phrases like "everything it touches" should be removed. And citations are needed- Shane's explicitly does not smoke its meat because they think customers would be disturbed by seeing pink smoke rings in the meat. 72.148.252.69 (talk) 01:37, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- That was me commenting above before I remembered to sign in. I rewrote parts of the page that were blatantly self-promotional, fixed some spelling problems, etc. I think good arguments could be made that other parts of the page are non-notable (history of promotions, etc) and could be removed, but someone with more time and who cares more about it than I do can fight that battle. Request for Changes To The Current Article
[edit]An impartial editor has reviewed the proposed edit(s) and asked the editor with a conflict of interest to go ahead and make the suggested changes. |
We need to remove two separate parts of the current wiki page if possible:
Under The National Promotions Section, please remove:
2008: Offered free chicken tender meals on Election Day 2008.[11]
While Shane's did originally offer this promotion in 2008, a lot of customers still get confused it comes time for voting and think the Shane's is still giving away something free. As a result, it creates a lot of confusion and let's down their customers.
Under the "Growth" Section, please remove:
It is operated by Petrus Brands, who also operate the Planet Smoothie chain.[12]
They were operated by Petrus Brands at one point, but they are no longer. You can reference the following article that states they are a former operator if needed:
http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=52243283
Those are the two main changes we need to make right now. If there are any problems, please email me at theshanesribshack@gmail.com
Thank you so much for your help today!
Please see above edits that need to be made. Thanks!
