Page move

Although I can understand why this page was moved, the move seems to be in violation of Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names) as this bridge is still referred to as the Severn River Bridge in both traffic reports and in common usage. Granted, the name change was pretty recent so any name change won't take hold yet. I'll leave the page here, but if it becomes obvious that Severn River Bridge will remain the most common name for this bridge I'll move it back.-Jeff ^(talk) 16:14, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's been well over a year since this bridge was renamed, but it's still commonly known as the Severn River Bridge. I propose we move this page back to that title.-Jeff ^(talk) 14:29, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Severn River Bridge already redirects here. Any confusion with the Severn Bridge (where Severn Estuary Bridge redirects) is easily solved by ~~already existing~~ hatnotes [you kindly added pointing] to Severn Bridge (disambiguation). Station1 (talk) 07:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article was originally titled Severn River Bridge (with no parentheses). I assume it was moved here based on the belief that people would start referring to it as the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in traffic reports, etc. That hasn't happened, so the original title is clearly the appropriate title. I don't believe there's any confusion between Severn River Bridge and Severn Bridge, none that can't be cleared up with a disambig note at the top of the article anyway. The river in England is commonly known as the River Severn, not the Severn River.-Jeff ^(talk) 16:29, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
