Message to Doug Weller
[edit]Thanks for dealing with the sock puppets. I want you to know that I've closely examined the differences between revisions (going back to around August 2017), and much of what your version puts in place was created by User:MindyWaters, who appears to be one of the sockpuppets that you dealt with. In addition, your version removes some legitimate work done by others to fix broken citations.
I think the solution is to go through the article section by section rather than a wholescale revert. That is more painstaking, but I'm willing to give it a try. I want to make sure you are on board. Tonicthebrown (talk) 14:28, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- Further clarification: the current revision of the article (#842897862) contains material created by User:MindyWaters between #794511149 and #795053680. Tonicthebrown (talk) 14:38, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Tonicthebrown: I think the best way to do that is in a subpage to this page. That's done from time to time. How does that sound? And of course that way the unsourced material can be sourced or discarded. But you're right, I seem to have replaced it with Mindy Waters material. I should have gone back to this version. I'd like the opinion of user:Simbagraphix. Doug Weller talk 14:40, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Tonicthebrown: thanks for your cooperation. @Simbagraphix: I've reverted your replacement of material with a 2016 citation needed tag. Once such material is removed it may not be replaced without a reliable source, see WP:BURDEN. I did look at the conference page and found no source in part because I didn't find this statement, which surely should be in that article before it's in this article. If it's significant it should be easy to find a source. Doug Weller talk 13:12, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
- So User:MindyWaters was a sockpuppet, well that explains a lot. I am going through the material and saving what is good, and clean or clarifying the rest. Just have to work through what might be some of her input to see if its salvageable, let me know if any issues.Simbagraphix (talk) 09:41, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

I would like to add that Ethanfgrant is also part of that socks family and that their recent edits may be removed by WP:REVERTBAN. I did not do this currently, because there were too many intermediate edits. Thanks, —PaleoNeonate – 07:41, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
