Dear Sir - Wikipedia

This page, i.e. Services Preparatory Institute, Aurangabad is written mainly by me for providing information about SPI to general people. This institute is run by the Government of State if Maharashtra, India.

This page does not violet any copyright issues. However, if you feel that some text may be changed. I will change it.

Thank you for your support. Waiting for your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atulbamne (talkcontribs) 06:37, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article had a number of sections that were closely paraphrased, that is, the sentences were identical to what was on the website but with just a few words changed. The article had to be rewritten to remove that. It should also try to use references from secondary sources independent of the subject. I have provided a list of news articles from The Times of India that you can use to develop the sections, mostly for its history. In the meantime, the article has been scrubbed to a simple paragraph about the school and should meet notability from there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:09, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This college is obviously notable; I added an independent reference to the page so that it would have at least one, but as AngusWOOF has shown, it's not hard to find more. It is the content reported in those independent sources that will make up our article here – stuff about the aims and procedures of the school is already on its website and there's no reason to reproduce it here. Also, Atulbamne, if you have some personal or professional connection to the institute, you should declare it; conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but always welcome to request changes here, on this page, the talk-page. If you are employed by the institute you are obliged to declare that paid relationship. Please see the section below for information about all this. Sir,

I am ex-student of this institute and I wish that stub mark may be removed from this page. Can you once again see the modified text of the page and remove stub mark. Thank you.

Conflict of interest

[edit]

It seems possible that at least one major contributor to this article has a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus has a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:09, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

citation needed on page of Services Preparatory Institue

[edit]

Dear Sir,

Will this citation work for Services Selection Boards?

Thank you very much.

Atulbamne, that is not an independent reliable source. Near the top of this page, below the Indian flag and the red schoolhouse, is a list of the kind of source that could be used to add to the article. In general, Wikipedia cares little or nothing what people or organisations say about themselves; our content is based on sources with no connection to the topic. As the article is reasonably expanded now, I have removed stub status of this page. Thank you.
