Expand

[edit]

@Tails Wx: considering Pennsylvania had fatal flash floods on September 9 and flash flooding stretches as far back as September 8, I was wondering if the article could be expanded to 9/8.173.3.26.252 (talk) 23:13, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think the expansion to September 8 is ok; but is the system that produced the September 11–13 floods related to the system that produced the floods days earlier? Should it be expanded, both the lead and the "meteorological synopsis" section should be updated in accordance with the expansion to earlier dates. ~ Tails Wx 02:21, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Tails Wx: There are not the exact same but have the same setup (a stalled front to end an East Coast heat wave.) 9/11 and 9/12-13 aren’t the exact same system either.69.123.50.215 (talk) 20:36, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. I did also find several Mesoscale Preicipitation Discussions regarding the flooding on September 9. That said, I'll update the lead and the "meteorological synopsis" section later. ~ Tails Wx 17:26, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Tails Wx: would it be ok if at some point if you can’t expand the met symposis, I add impacts from 9/8 to 9/10? 69.123.50.215 (talk) 15:57, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That'd be ok. ~ Tails Wx 16:00, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Tails Wx: I actually found something as far as September 7, but I don’t know if I should add because (1) it might not be related and (2) it’s about severe thunderstorms. That being said, they were fatal.69.123.50.215 (talk) 14:35, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, I don't think it should be added. As you stated it is not regarding the floods and I'm doubtful it's the same system that produced it. However, if there is a source that the same events are connected then maybe the info based on the sources above could be added, but otherwise I don't think it should be added. Good find, though! ~ Tails Wx (he/him, aroace, 🐾) 22:54, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

alright, thanks for letting me know.69.123.50.215 (talk) 15:10, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
