Separate articles needed
[edit]I think separate article for each country would be better. Tarif from Bangladesh 12:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps no, it'd better to add separate section for each country for both Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary (School) Certificate. We can model after Bachelor's degree.--NAHID 17:55, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Merge proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge.
The merge proposal suggested merging Secondary School Certificate into Secondary School Certificate (Bangladesh) due to naming inconsistencies and lack of proper sourcing for other countries. Since there has been no opposition after seven days, the merge has been carried out. RAIHAN ⚡ Got something to say? 06:22, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
I propose merging Secondary School Certificate into Secondary School Certificate (Bangladesh).
The term "Secondary School Certificate" is specific to Bangladesh. Other countries use different names for similar exams, such as Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) in India, "Senior Secondary School Certificate" in Nigeria, and General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) in the UK. They also have separate articles.
Additionally, the article's sections about other countries (excluding Bangladesh, India, and Nigeria) lack sources, making the information difficult to verify. Given these discrepancies in naming and the lack of proper sourcing, the article should focus exclusively on Bangladesh. The article "Secondary School Certificate (Bangladesh)" is already well-sourced and comprehensive.
So I suggest blanking the current "Secondary School Certificate" article, and moving the "Secondary School Certificate (Bangladesh)" article to the title "Secondary School Certificate".
