I was just listening to DAN MAJEN KANO SUNUSI LAMIDO SUNUSI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2mkL1lDM_w via YouTube and just not sure where to put it. I suppose it could be used to kick off the Hausa version of this page.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi → Muhammadu Sanusi II – The Emir is no longer officially addressed as Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as he changed his name to Muhammadu Sanusi II after becoming the Emir of Kano. Therefore, it will be better for the article to reflect the new name. Zubairu Dalhatu 14:17, 17 September 2017 (UTC)--Relisting.Andrewa (talk) 19:08, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Relisting comment: I note this reverses 11:45, 1 April 2017 Jamie Tubers (talk | contribs | block) . . (51 bytes) (+51) . . (Jamie Tubers moved page Muhammadu Sanusi II to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi over redirect: per WP:COMMONNAME. The official title should be reflected in the lead.) As the nomination was based on the official name, no evidence has been presented as to the common name, both seem disputed, and Jamie Tubers is currently active, we should give him the opportunity to comment IMO. Andrewa (talk) 19:08, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Readers will most probably not recognize this subject by his Official name, judging from the fact that he has been notable with the current name for much longer period. Approximately 90% of the sources used in this very article use only "Lamido Sanusi Lamido". Furthermore, "Lamido Sanusi Lamido" has a much greater number of results on google search (news, books, web) in comparison to Muhammadu Sanusi II (news, books, web), despite the fact that "Muhammadu Sanusi II" search seems to also include results for Muhammadu Sanusi I (the previous Emir). Moving this page to the Emir's official name is still very premature, and it may infact never be necessary as most news sources still include "Lamido Sanusi Lamido" in their reports anyway..--Jamie Tubers (talk) 14:15, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Jamie Tubers you should understand that nomination is based on an official name as in the case of the former Pope, who was known as Joseph Ratzinger, but his page was changed to Pope Benedict XVI on Wikipedia after becoming Pope and changed his name. Also as you mentioned that most news sources still include "Sanusi Lamido Sanusi" in their reports anyway, this is something that is hardly to be seen or heard in both print media and television channels addressing the Emir as "Sanusi Lamido Sanusi", he is everywhere being address as "Muhammadu Sanusi II". Also for the search, definitely "Sanusi Lamido Sanusi" must have the highness number as the name has been there for a long time having been served as a CBN Governor under that name. But "Muhammadu Sanusi II" also is searchable and also has become popular among almost every person who read news article and watch television. He has never used "Sanusi Lamido Sanusi" since he became Emir of Kano, rather he use "Muhammadu Sanusi II" officially and in all occassion. Zubairu Dalhatu 23:00, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
That seems to me to be a confession that this RM is without basis. The official name has little relevance here, and the comparison with Pope Benedict is ridiculous... he's now far more commonly referred to as Benedict than as Ratzinger. Andrewa (talk) 16:41, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
