Philip Foster

[edit]

Regarding the co-builder of the Barlow Road ("...along with Philip Foster..."), I rm'ed it because the source I was citing did not list him and there was no citation in the stub. It probably would ffit better in the Barlow Road article anyway.... Twisted86 05:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

– I don't think stats are necessary. He is no more significant in a long term than any other person of the same name, including a rugby player and a video game director. Either Sam Barlow (Justice of the Peace) or Sam Barlow (pioneer). George Ho (talk) 02:19, 30 August 2015 (UTC) Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 08:34, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Neutral: around the U.S. Pacific Northwest, Sam Barlow is well known to students of history. Way more so than any sports figure or judge. But to the rest of the world, the point of equally well known is valid. (Oregon pioneer) would be the better descriptive qualifier. —EncMstr (talk) 06:14, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
American history, yes, EncMstr. However, WP:TPTM says that "systematic bias" must be generally avoided. --George Ho (talk) 14:43, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
