[edit]

Obvoiusly some people will not be happy with the page, but i would request you to discuss it here first, and if you dont get any reply in a week or so go ahead with the changes.I have tried my best to keep the the article NPOV and factual, however i believe certain realities must be noted here and there and I have done so.Thank You.Prateek01 05:58, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No citation given...

[edit]

No citation has to given in the article where it is written that the strudent staff ratio is better than Anna University. Shouldn't it be removed? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Higanesh2003 (talkcontribs) 06:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

SRM is a full university now

[edit]

SRM is no longer deemed shouldn't this be updated?

Changed the link but not the contents of the article hence putting up the tags -Weedrat 13:54, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Performance Section

[edit]

Someone has put up figures in the performance section that don't make sense (99% students getting placed etc.) Either this should be verified or removed. -Weedrat 04:10, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks more like an advertisement

[edit]

This article is in serious need of help. No citations, multiple uses of pecock terms and above all, very little facual information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.74.163.7 (talk) 14:45, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Placement record

[edit]

The placement companies like Intel, Apple Inc, AT&T have NEVER come to SRM University. This is a blatant lie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sviswan (talkcontribs) 17:23, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Then feel free to remove it - Amog | Talkcontribs 19:30, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

placements

[edit]

I removed the following well sourced statement form the article:

Tata Consultancy Services had offered jobs to 1,214 students from SRM University for 2012 batch.Last year,TCS recruited 1091 students from SRM.[1]

The reasons are following. First, I believe placement sections are a bad idea in general, as they tend to reek of boosterism and lack of neutral point of view. The employment chances of graduates are something for a guidebook, much less something for an encyclopedic article. While WP:UNIGUIDE does not prevent this, it also does not provide for it. But even if it did, this is not the way to do it since it completely lacks context. The reader (such as myself) does not know if this is a small number or a large number, if other companies also employ graduates, and at what conditions. It is a meaningless, unrelated figure, bordering on trivia, and I don't see how it improves the article. --Muhandes (talk) 15:16, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: I removed similar one line sections from a few other articles and directed all discussions here. In all cases I have no claim about the verifiability of the statement, only that it is un-encyclopedic as it stands. --Muhandes (talk) 15:55, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Who Was Sri Ramaswamy?

[edit]

Hello: I was getting data on an ISRO space launch and ran across the "SRMSAT" microsatellite from SRM U. It led to the question: "OK, so who was Sri Ramaswamy?" Might be nice to add that detail to this article one of these days. MrG 70.56.53.105 (talk) 01:44, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The correct official website

[edit]

So which is it?

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:41, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's the second one. The first one shows the Delhi campus, the second one shows the Chennai campus (which coincidentally is the main one) and the last one is the Sikkim campus (which was recently established). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhishekhari2011 (talkcontribs) 15:06, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Controversy Section removal

[edit]

The controversy section was recently removed by an anonymous account. Please discuss if it was notable enough to be kept in the article. defcon5 (talk) 15:27, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
