I'll try to review this. An anonymous username, not my real name (talk) 16:01, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
Here's what I got from reviewing:
- The geography of Ruyan is not discussed in the body, only the lead.
- Fixed. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:50, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- Do you have any information about the origin of its name?
- Unfortunately not. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:50, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
It has been suggested that Ruyan was identical to the mountain called Raodita ("reddish")
Who suggested it? Also, I feel like more elaboration is needed about how a single mountain and an entire region were suggested to be the same.
- Added that James Darmesteter suggested it. Unfortunately the source doesn't elaborate. We might find more elaboration in the work of Darmesteter, but I'm not sure how. The source doesn't really make it easy to see which of his works they cite; "According to Darmesteter, Avesta, ii, 416, Ruyan corresponds to the mountain called Raodita ("reddish") in Yasht, 19, 2, and Royishnomand in Bundahishn, xii, 2, 27 (tr. West, 34)."
Ruyan is included among the lands of the king Gushnasp
Some context of who he was would help readers.
- Done. --HistoryofIran (talk) 17:53, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
The last Dabuyid ruler Khurshid managed to safeguard his realm against the Umayyad Caliphate, but after its replacement by the Abbasid Caliphate, he was finally defeated in 760.
Maybe try "The last Dabuyid ruler Khurshid managed to safeguard his realm against the Umayyad Caliphate, but he was finally defeated in 760 by its successor, the Abbasid Caliphate".
- Done. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:50, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

Say "until" for formality.

All in all, good work. I always appreciate the coverage of niche topics on WP. No other issues, so I'm placing it on hold. An anonymous username, not my real name (talk) 16:37, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
- Alright, that should be sufficient. I'll pass it now. An anonymous username, not my real name (talk) 21:27, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
