I remember waiting for ages for the royal train to go past in school about 1973 we all threw bundles of grass over the embankment as it went past. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.17.224 (talk) 03:01, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rename

[edit]

While this may not be an important issue, perhaps someone with a bit of time should consider renaming the article to something like Train transport of heads of state or something along those lines. Royal Train does the job well (and people know from context anyway that it covers all heads of state) but perhaps the title could run the same way as the rest (e.g. Air travel of HH of State)... 118.90.113.2 (talk) 16:11, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming like this would be nice, especially as I've now added a paragraph on Kim Jong Il's transport. Vmenkov (talk) 03:08, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Royal coaches Denmark and Belgium

[edit]

I was in my active life the railway-organiser of the official use of the railways by heads of state in Belgium.

I organised the Belgian railway-part of the visit if Quenn Margrethe to Belgium in 2002. I have inside pictures of the Danish Royal coach, made for the Danish press, but I can not publish them without authorisation.

When the Belgian historic Royal coaches were shown to the public (very rare, and no visit inside) I was always present to give information to the public. Again I have inside/outside pictures and even films about these coaches, but I have no authorisation to make them public.
