LIRR/NICE split
[edit]How does the split of the former MTA Long Island Bus into Nassau Inter-County Express affect the ownership of the Hempstead (LIRR station)? ----DanTD (talk) 17:00, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- IIRC, the board members said that the center is still MTA-owned but NICE has a lease. — Train2104 (talk • contribs) 18:13, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Lower-case "n" vs. upper-case "N"
[edit]The schedules released by NICE prior to the transfer use a lower-case "n" as the county identifying suffix as opposed to a upper-case "N". However, this is not reflected on the buses themselves. While NICE may choose to use "n" instead of "N" on the schedules, this should not be taken literally in the articles. Because "N" still appears on the buses, and to keep the NICE-related articles in line with the rest of the NYC regional bus services, the upper-case "N" should be retained.
