The area of actual Azerbaijan occupied by Armenian forces should be included in the article? The Amaras Monastery is to be considered in Armenia?--6graytrucks (talk) 22:05, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What Azebaijan, there was no Azerbaijan in roman times, the article should be renamed Caucasian Albania without Azerbaijan. Maybe we should write Italian Empire (Roman Empire). Hardly.--2492BC (talk) 12:15, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The two users having a conversation above are both banned, and so is User:Qyork who performed the move to the Azerbaijan title. I moved it to Roman influence in Caucasian Albania which should be more sane given that the main article is called Caucasian Albania. Roman influence

[edit]

What Roman influence, at the time when Armenia was baptized by Gregory the Illuminator in 301 AD, who wasn't from Rome was pagan. The sentence must be corrected.--Armenia Magna (talk) 17:38, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Roman influence in modern-day Azerbaijan is practically non-existent. Christianity is a minority religion and was not brought by the Roman Empire since it was not a Christian state when it held Caucasian Albania as a vassal. And the Latin alphabet currently used in Azerbaijan is not a legacy of Rome but of Soviet rule. If using the Latin alphabet is proof of Roman influence then one might as well talk of Roman influence on Vietnam or Indonesia. I have edited the article accordingly, but I fear it will eventually be edited back by whoever wrote that nonsense.89.121.160.79 (talk)

Issues

[edit]

This article contains numerous factual errors, some of which are loaded with OR. I've adressed several of them, by removing/tweaking the most ludicrous statements, and those that were tagged for a long time. However there's still lots to be done. - LouisAragon (talk) 16:56, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
