73.8.106.93, Hello, No heritage/ ethnicity on the lead section - again - see WP:ETHNICITY. You can add the info on the body text section (Background section" if you can provide independent, reliable source (in citation) to support the claim. Pls do not add in the info without that. Cassiopeiatalk01:44, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Cassiopeia As far as I can see WP:ETHNICITY clearly state sthat "Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless it is relevant to the subject's notability." In my humble opinion Roman Popadiuk is notable specifically because he is an American of Ukrainian descent who ended up being the first US Ambassador to Ukraine. In other words WP:ETHNICITY supports that Popadiuk's ethnicity should be included in the Lead, because it is relevant to subject's notability.--73.8.106.93 (talk) 03:14, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
73.8.106.9 I see what you saying but the subject might not be the remaining of his diplomatic career and is that any source because of his ethnicity background that he was employed for such position? if so, then we could include in the lead but without that that would not be part of his notability's relevancy. Cassiopeiatalk03:19, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Cassiopeia of course there are plenty of sources that Popadiuk got the position of the 1st U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine in 1992 because he was an American of Ukrainian origin - all Ukrainian diaspora U.S. newspapers were buzzing about it in 1992; see for example this article U.S. names ambassadors to newly independent states that specifically states that, quote "bla bla bla As expected, Roman Popadiuk, bla bla bla." I higlighted "As expected" because there was litearlly ONE American of Ukrainian descen high up in US diplomatic beraucracy at the time, so it was litearlly a "done deal" for pretty much the entire Ukrainian diaspora in 1992 that Popadiuk would be named the 1st US Ambassador to Ukraine.--73.8.106.93 (talk) 03:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
