1926 fire
[edit]There's an article questioning whether the 1926 fire “destroyed the majority of the Village of Rockland Lake.” This article though, would seem to support the current wording in the article, saying "In 1926, one of the icehouses caught fire during demolition, and the fire spread and destroyed much of the village of Rockland Lake." - Yeah, four years later but what the heck. That first article is some seriously POV dreck, written by someone who just can't handle people who aren't their grandparents enjoying Rockland Lake. He's certainly not above employing exaggeration to make his point, so I wouldn't consider any specifics mentioned to be reliable. If he grinds his axe any harder, it'll only be good for use as an ice pick (see what I did there?) Antepenultimate (talk) 03:08, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
