Genres
[edit]None of the genres have been officially confirmed for the game. They should be removed.--100.37.80.58 (talk) 18:38, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- I have open up a discussion on this topic on WikiProject Video games about the genres and years in the soundtrack section in this article and Guitar Hero Live violating WP:CRYSTAL or any other wikipedia guidelines. TheDeviantPro (talk) 23:54, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Pre-Order 30-Pack
[edit]Would it be acceptable for the Soundtrack section to include the 30 songs available for those who preorder the game? Many of them are Harmonix tracks that have already appeared in prior games, but should they still be included here? 2607:EA00:107:2401:2DF9:D076:ED2B:BD17 (talk) 16:10, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Harmonix employees posting reviews on Amazon
[edit]Possible ref to use for the article. Harmonix employees have been posting reviews of Rock Band 4 on Amazon. GamerPro64 21:34, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- I saw that earlier but I'm not sure how well it can work into this. HMX quickly iterated its statements, fixing the issue internally, and moved on. If it has a larger impact beyond the discovery perhaps, but I don't see it right now for RB4. --MASEM (t) 21:42, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- Its possible to do it the same way Dragon Age II presented a controversy similar to this. GamerPro64 22:07, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
Best way of representing EU/AU/NZ PS4 DLC situation in this article
[edit]As of right now, the soundtrack section doesn't accurately represent the quantity of songs available to PS4 users in Europe and Oceania. I know there is a brief mention of this in the Reception section, but someone just reading the soundtrack section to get an idea of the number of songs in the game might get the wrong impression. I guess the debate here is whether this article should represent the hypothetical version of the game that Harmonix is promoting, or the actual version available to consumers, as reported by the likes of Eurogamer and Kotaku. Not really sure what Wikipedia policy says on the matter, but it seems that if official descriptions of features of a game are directly contradicted by high-profile independent third-party sources, then this discrepancy should at least be mentioned when describing the feature in this article. --Jol123 (talk) 21:24, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, it is only affecting one platform in two regions; for the other platform and for all other regions, the situation is not there; to highlight that one problem would be UNDUE weight given the limited set it fails on. It is a reception issue, as it was something that was promised at launch, and they've had difficulty in implementing it in a very specific situation, rather than a soundtrack issue. That said, a footnote on the soundtrack to note the situation would be fine, but reaction to the issue should definitely be limited to the reception. --MASEM (t) 21:39, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
