Tamil to English Translation

[edit]

I need a Tamil-to-English translation for one of my footnote sources here: https://www.tamilmurasu.com.sg/lifestyle/story20230919-137270 User:Beastranger HeaderLinguist (talk) 03:07, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@HeaderLinguist: I found that Google Translate does a fair job of translating the article, within the usual limitations of machine translation. I wonder if you are thinking this article represents independent reporting and would be considered able to support notability. To my reading, it seems to be largely based on what Budhrani (Putrani) says about himself and his career and should be considered more a publicity piece. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:33, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback User:jmcgnh. Yes, I wanted to double check if these sources are verifiable enough for a profile article to be approved by Wiki editors as it is a non-english source. HeaderLinguist (talk) 03:59, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@HeaderLinguist: Non-English sources are allowed. Sometimes Google Translate does a good enough job to allow us to assess a source, but you have to make allowances for the imperfections of machine translation.
If you were wondering about the draft, I'd be most concerned that it contains statements that do not seem to be supported by any source. After you have conformed the draft to this basic requirement, it will be time to start considering the quality of the sources used. And whether the content of the sources actually supports the content of the draft. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 04:41, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
