First stamps sizes

The point was that as the denomination increased so did the size. That seems like an interesting factoid to add to the article, as many other stamps don't follow that design decision. ww2censor (talk) 16:03, 15 December 2010 (UTC) I can't agree, I don't know the proportions but I would say it is very common for the size to be larger on the higher values. Wide image spans

@Gwillhickers: The four across images in a table are too wide to be viewed on standard resolution laptop as in most of the other articles in which you place images in this way. I only ever see three and a tiny bit images so your decision to design the page this way forces me to scroll across to see the rest of the content. I'm sure they look really nice on a 27" monitor but laptops are one of the most popular products being used today. The matter is even worse on an iPhone, with the Wikipedia app (I presume other smartphones are the same), I only see one and a bit images, one I have to manually flick left across each image to display them, while a gallery of images displays perfectly inline, though small which you won't like, but they are in sequence without forcing the user to scroll, other than the usual down scroll we all use for longer pages in anything on a smartphone. Using a smartphone browser is the same as the app except that one can enlarge the individual images in the browser which the app cannot do. I really wish you would stop forcing large image sizes on readers in ways that force them to do more work than is necessary. Yes they look nice, but! Instead, why not let their own preferences set the size appropriate to their own computers? If a reader wants to inspect the detail they can always click on the image to see it at up to full size. ww2censor (talk) 09:34, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
