WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[edit]THE ARTICLE SAYS "Davis investigated the detection of neutrinos by inverse beta decay" BUT THAT'S WRONG. ITS NOT INVERSE BETA DECAY, ITS JUST BETA DECAY. CHECK PAGE 390 OF INTRODUCTION TO ELEMENTARY PARTICLES BY DAVID GRIFFITHS. THE REACTION RAY DAVIS USED WAS: ELECTON-NEUTRIN0 + CHLORINE-37 -> ARGON-37 + ELECTRON. WHICH IS ESSENTIALLY JUST: ELECTRON-NEUTRINO + NEUTRON -> PROTON + ELECTRON. WHICH IS JUST NORMAL BETA DECAY, NOT INVERSE BETA DECAY!! INVERSE BETA DECAY INVOLVES A PROTON CHANGING TO A NEUTRON, NOT A NEUTRON CHANGING TO A PROTON!!! SO THIS ARTICLE IS WRONG!! I'VE CHANGED IT!! AND DONT TELL ME NOT TO USE CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO MEAN I AM SHOUTING, BECAUSE, I AM SHOUTING!!! I'M MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 92.12.198.214 (talk) 21:17, 24 August 2014 (UTC)MAD CORRECT PERSON
Sections and references
[edit]I have added sections and his New York Times obituary as a reference. It needs more details about his career as a physicist. Capitalistroadster 06:53, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Who discovered the Neutrino?
[edit]This article needs to be coordinated with the articles for Clyde Cowan, Frederick Reines, and the Cowan Reines Experiment. Cowan and Reines discovered the neutrino, but it appears from these articles that Davis did.Conscientia (talk) 13:06, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
