hmmm, at best this is a title problem It looks like CSD ... but I will wait for more feedback before I tag it as such ... Brian 20:54, 27 June 2006 (UTC)btball[reply]

This is a really important page and needs to be extended... especially the links section. Certainly not a CSD! Faithjames (talk) 15:42, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move Funding and History to US specific Rape Crisis Center section

[edit]

The content is fantastic, but could benefit from splitting US and global info. For example the S.A.F.E. is a US specific occupation. Any suggestions on existing pages this could be moved to, before creating a new one titled something like Rape_Crisis_Centers_(US) and link that to this page of course. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shushugah (talkcontribs) 20:56, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Sexual Assault Resource Service" listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Sexual Assault Resource Service. Please participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. Widefox; talk 11:13, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Split suggestion

[edit]

Per the suggestion by Shushugah above re splitting, I suggest moving this whole article to the title "Rape crisis centers in the United States", and then re-creating "Rape crisis centre" as a new article, even if its small to begin with. The new article may be able to use some of the content of this one, although probably little because it is so specific to one country. (In this way, the inward links to the redirect created from the move can then be checked, and those referring solely to the United States can stay as is, and any which are intended for the general topic, to be changed to the new article, at least initially). Rape crisis centerRape crisis centers in the United States – Yesterday I added a Split template to this article, but have just had the thought that creating a Move discussion may generate more discussion, more knowledge of the subject (especially in the US), and bring about consensus sooner. (See my comments on the talk page.) Laterthanyouthink (talk) 07:31, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support renaming, the article is well written but solely from a US point of view. A broader article could be Sexual assault support services interweaving different countries.

Cleanup after move

[edit]

I have created the new article Rape crisis centre and gone through all the links and redirects to the old article and sorted them all out in each article where appropriate. Rape crisis center now redirects to Rape crisis centre. The new article could do with more fleshing out, but it's a start. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 03:07, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
