This entry is a DYK for how it looks & there's no pic of it?
[edit]How does that make sense?Probablynoteworthy (talk) 01:08, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
- I agree.
- We worked with the text and references that were there. A picture would be a great addition, as I posted here earlier. We don't have a picture yet. But you go to war with the army you've got, not the one you wish you had. -- Donald Rumsfeld. Or "But when you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with."
- Trying to get consensus on hooks at WP:DYK is often problematical. You should try it; you may then learn some empathy. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 16:13, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Probablynoteworthy: if we have someone in the Portland area who can get a good picture of one of these critters, then that would most certainly improve the article. Unfortunately I can't do that from 2000 miles away, and to otherwise add a picture I'd have to infringe on someone's copyright. One of the main reasons I added the Gerth .pdf as an external link is because it has some very nice photos. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 20:27, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry if I came off facetious in my comment. It's not that I have any problem with the article & I understand finding copyright free photos isn't easy, my point is I don't think it makes sense to choose this entry for a DYK on the criteria of how it looks when there's no pic to support this.Probablynoteworthy (talk) 20:48, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
