Correct name?

[edit]

It looks like there is no populated place called Ramatlabama in South Africa. There is Miga, as shown in the census data in the reference. Ramatlabama is a populated place in Botswana, just across the border, after which the border post is named. Apparently people call Miga Ramatlabama because of its closeness to the border-post but that seems to be wrong. --Vanellus (talk) 05:55, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Vanellus
That is a Good question that needs an answer. I've just seen the article & I'm surprised that the "short description" says it is in Botswana meanwhile the Introduction explains it being a part of South Africa.
Even the Infobox is messed up, as it shows "Mahikeng Local Municipality" as its location while also mentioning Botswana as its nation instead of just mentioning one area.
If indeed that name applies to both sides of the border, this is not how we are to express it.
Let me see how best this article can be edited. GeographicAccountant (talk) 19:53, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
