Ono and Garvan

[edit]

In the edit summaries, I expressed some doubt that I had correctly identified "Ono" and "Garvan". But the article Karl Mahlburg makes clear that I identified them correctly. -- Dominus (talk) 16:11, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Conceptual explanation

[edit]

I am concerned by the text "A conceptual explanation for Ramanujan's observation was finally discovered in January 2011 by considering the Hausdorff dimension of the following function in the l-adic topology" et seq. The phrase doesn't really make sense in the first place, and the reference to Ono, Folsom and Kent should probably be to the journal Advances in Mathematics, not American Institute of Mathematics: if so, the review Zbl 1247.11131 makes it clear that it has nothing to do with Hausdoff dimension, but rather overconvergent modular forms. The second reference, Zbl 06264419 does not appear to relate to congruences at all. Can anyone verify this material? Deltahedron (talk) 20:31, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
