Controversies

[edit]

PlavaOmega, as I stated previously, this needs to be discussed on the talk page of the article. Per the warning about adding materials: "This article must adhere to the biographies of living persons policy… Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous." I also refer you to WP:Undue, as controversies can be included, but one must retain neutrality.

Your additions: "==Criticism and controversies== Rada Borić has faced criticism from the public and media in regards to her frequent use of communist symbolry whether it be her party's logo, her photos on social media or her attendance on far-left marches. On the 23rd of December 2016 Rada Borić posted a photo of her wearing a green beret with a red star on it on her Facebook wall."

Analysis:

  • First link is a picture of a logo. No text to evaluate, and as such it does not support the statement that she has faced public criticism.
  • Sloboda (which appears to be independent, and may be curated) says in 2016, Boric attended the founding assembly of the New Left urging respect for human rights and being able to live without fear, but then posted a photograph on Facebook in which she was wearing a communist beret with the red five-pointed star, which was a symbol of the violations of human rights. It supports your statement that there was media criticism of this single event.
  • braniteljski-portal.com (independent, but does not appear to be curated. It hosts material from other sites for which it says it is not responsible, and has only one columnist. More like a blog than a high quality reliable source.) says she was involved in a protest march in 2018 against state money being spent for religious communities. Makes no statement that it was controversial, simply reports on the participants and reason for the protest.
  • Narod (appears to be independent and has an editor-in chief) says she posted a photo of herself in the hat with the five pointed star. Gives a brief bio. They don't analyze the photo at all. The statement they make is "This is her current profile photo. Any comment is superfluous." Because they refuse to analyze the meaning, you cannot use it as a source to support that the media criticized her.

Evaluating these all together, without other sourcing, you have one source which noted one event and its inclusion would appear to be undue emphasis. To include a statement that she has frequently faced public and media criticism does not appear to be supported, by the sources given. Please do not reinsert the material unless you discuss it here. If you have other reliable sources which support criticism of her, by the public and media, the information could be added, but they would need to show a repeated criticism over time and ideally, the public and her reaction to the criticism.
