Spelling
[edit]I think the more common spelling of this tribe is Qajar not Kajar (found in most books) Critical M104 (talk) 05:51, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Additionally, "Kadzhar" is neither a separate tribe nor a subsection of "Kajar" or "Qajar", but merely an over-literal English-Roman transcription from the Cyrillic transcription. I'm going to try an edit to "part of the Qajar people, named as such in Russian ("Kadzhar")", or something similar. UnknownSage (talk) 12:29, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
Qajars
[edit]As I’ve already mentioned on other related wiki articles, it should be added that the Qajars also resided natively in mazandaran and constituted the ruling elite there. The great number of Qajars that settled in Gorgan, also settled or later on relocated to mazandaran where significant numbers of them still live. It is incorrect or more so incomplete to assert they only resided in Armenia, Azerbaijan und northwestern Iran if the most prominent branch, the one which would give rise to the royal qajar branch, came from Gorgan where their tribe was native to. Both the Develu branch and the Qoyunlu resided natively in northeastern Iran. Mohammad Qajar of the Qoyunlu branch established himself as the sole ruler of Mazandaran during the early to mid 18th century before being tumbled by Mohammad Khan Dadvey of the Develu branch who replaced him and established himself as governor of Mazandaran. He too was be tumbled by Agha Mohammad Qajar (later shah) who once again brought Mazandaran under the control of the Qoyunlu branch and after that mazandaran remained in the possession of the Qajars. Most Qajars in Iran live in Mazandaran, numbering, depending on the source, between 5k-35k. To sum it up: Qajars live in northeastern Iran as well, concentrated in eastern Mazandaran and Gorgan where they have lived natively for centuries. 77.64.143.197 (talk) 17:49, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
Related to the Khazar?
[edit]I was wondering if there are any cultural similarities between the ancient Turkic Khazar and the Qajar here? https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:EmilePersaud 21:46, 8 June 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by EmilePersaud (talk • contribs)
