tables and sea

[edit]

I've updated most of the systems including,

2.2 Bus system 2.3 Funiculars 2.4 Light rail (Light metro) 2.5 Metro 2.6 Bus rapid transit (BRT) 2.7 Trams

but tables are still old, and İDO sold, Şehir Hatları AŞ is founded for vapurs. So there is a needing to separate them.

Bias in the last sentence of the section "Bus system"

[edit]

There is substantial bias throughout the "Bus System" section of this article, however, the sentence that is most problematic is as follows: It is typical of a network run by civil servants with little regard to passenger requirements. I have not corrected this issue since I am not very familiar with the Istanbul bus system; however, an admin or a local Istanbul resident should look into this issue immediately.

Incorrect redirection

[edit]

This article is about the "Public transport in Istanbul" and is also intented for this general purpse only. The repeated redirecting to an article "IETT" is not correct. This was discussed and explained in the past. IETT is a company, which covers some transportation activities on land but not all and not at sea. So, please refrain from modifying again.CeeGee (talk) 08:53, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But the two articles duplicate each other. See Talk:IETT#Duplication. --Mhockey (talk) 22:30, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is fixed, now. The IETT article contained a duplicate of this one, dating from Sept 2009. I've transferred any changes in the text there to here, and reverted it to a redirect. But an article on IETT, the company, would be a useful addition, would it not? Moonraker12 (talk) 15:49, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello people, Rayturk announced a new metro line from Mecidiyeköy to Mahmutbey that also passes through Kağıthane. Can somebody update the transit map accordingly?

Working on a separate article for the IETT

[edit]

I am currently working on a separate article about the IETT and if you want to help, you can right here! Eticangaaa (talk) 01:55, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Eticangaaa: Looks like a great start! Do you have any intention to move iETT into mainspace? I think sourcing would be the only thing that is missing with the draft as it stands. Felix QW (talk) 13:16, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, i'm planning on moving it to the mainspace as soon as i get it complete, right now i'm just translating from the Turkish Wikipedia but perhaps i'll add more original content later on. Can't really work on it currently because of school but in the next weeks ill be able to work on it Eticangaaa (talk) 13:29, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
it is done. IETT no longer redirects here. Eticangaaa (talk) 08:06, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
