Y1 Aurigae

[edit]

Is this the same star as Y1 Aurigae? Wikipedia has no entry for Y1 Aurigae, yet is on the list of Largest Known Stars. I would like to make that link if this is the right star. PersonPlaceOrThing 02:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Y1 Aurigae is fake, even SIMBAD has no entry on it. Psi Aurigae was given a radius of 637 R[citation needed] or 271 R. However, it is still large, extending past Mars. ----Joey P. - THE OFFICIAL 22:18, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@JoeyPknowsalotaboutthat: Given luminosity of 63,579 L and temperature 3,750 K, this gives 600 R. Thanks. Zapera DISCUSS CONTRIBS 11:26, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. How do I calculate the radius of a star by the luminosity and temperature? Also I am sorry for that edit war that I had with you. ----Joey P. - THE OFFICIAL 03:09, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
