Merger proposal

I suggest to merge this article and base change map since they clearly overlap: the existence of the base change map is very general (i.e., for all maps, and for all types of sheaves). Proper base change (in topology, etale sheaves, coherent sheaves) and flat / smooth base change would then be additional sections. Comments? Jakob.scholbach (talk) 15:16, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
