2 external links section?
[edit]Is there a reason for 2 external link links section? I think they are fine under 1 section. 1.02 editor (talk) 09:38, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
Unnecessary section
[edit]Promenade station presents an unusual case of a station acting as an interchange between multiple branches of the same MRT line, due to the two possible routes for Circle Line trains at the station. Passengers heading to Dhoby Ghaut or Marina Bay should head to Circle Line's Platform B, and announcements will be made to notify commuters when the train going towards Marina Bay arrives. (Tanah Merah station on the East West Line is similar, but trains coming from the main line do not go to Changi Airport, thus always requiring a change of trains, whereas this may not be necessary at Promenade.)
Passengers heading to Bayfront can use either the Circle or Downtown Lines, as Bayfront is an adjacent stop on both lines. This phenomenon of two adjacent MRT interchange stations between the same lines is only found once elsewhere on the MRT, at City Hall and Raffles Place. However, changing between the Circle and Downtown Lines is more convenient at Bayfront, which provides cross-platform interchange that Promenade was meant to have but was aborted due to complexities in the station structure. (The circle line branches into two, and to build the tracks without crossing the circle line tracks would be impossible). The empty space where the tracks were meant to be can be seen from trains to and from Esplanade.--ZKang123 (talk) 03:41, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Comments
[edit]- Paraphrasing not needed. If you want, you can.
- Remove MOS:ALLCAPS from citations and citations from lead as per WP:CITELEAD.
- Done
- I have removed the citelead. ❯❯❯ S A H A
- Link or describe "kuehs" with a note.
- Linked it and solved some minor issues. ❯❯❯ S A H A
- Change S$ to US$ using Template:To USD. Keep both currencies, like- S$ abc (US$ xyz).
- Done
- The circle line section starts with "Contract 825". Add more details to it. Same with Contract C902.
- Hmm, will just adding the context of the station will do? There isn't really much to talk about, as decisions of the station site isn't totally open to us.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- also, you can add this "C825 project" (found it from ref [8].) or just remove the contract number. only the word contract will be sufficient. ❯❯❯ S A H A 08:00, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- I rather keep the contract number. Contracts by LTA for a certain project have a unique number.--ZKang123 (talk) 09:15, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

- Some citations are not properly formatted. Example - The Straits Times [17]. Add source date, author.
- Done
- Avoid using & as per MOS:&.
- Avoid one sentence para. MOS:PARA
- Add platform details for line. Like- Circle line uses Platform A/B/C.
- Only Bayfront was linked in the lead. Link the whole Bayfront station.
- Corrected it. ❯❯❯ S A H A
- Add wikilinks once. There are some repetitions.
- "Circle line Extension" E is in caps.
- Fixed
- Sorry, my bad. I meant something, and wrote something else. E won't be in caps. ❯❯❯ S A H A
- Fixed Does this have to apply to the source titles? Because that's how it is in the sources.--ZKang123 (talk) 09:15, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- ZKang123, nope. It's optional for sources (title case or sentence case). more details in MOS:ALLCAPS. ❯❯❯ S A H A
- Fixed
- Previous names not mentioned in the body.
- Done Well, I already brought up the working name, and the eventual decision on Promenade.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- "The station is located near ..." add this in the body with ref.
- Done
- Is platform B linked with circle line?
- Yes it is.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- Then I would suggest swapping the platform B image with the Exit A image. ❯❯❯ S A H A 07:25, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- Fixed
- Yes it is.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- Need more station details in the body. Bicycle facilities, Platform levels.
- Can't really specify; no official sources on these. Removed some details as unsourced. Rather leave in the infobox.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- Reference needed for Parking, Bicycle facilities, address.
- Done
- More details about PHUNK.
- Done Added link.--ZKang123 (talk) 13:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
❯❯❯ S A H A 15:54, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- Also added details on the artwork background, from a CCL AiT book.--ZKang123 (talk) 09:15, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
