I have cleaned the article for better readability, updated the latest info on Prashant Tamang and tried my best to get the links and references in the correct place. If you want to improve the article, please do but do not add unwanted info. This article is not to promote Prashant Tamang or anyone else. It is an encyclopedic article, so its neutrality must be maintained. (Saildew (talk) 18:15, 8 March 2011 (UTC))[reply]
The article had been marked for deletion without any notice to the editors of the article. According to this page, it is not too early to have an article about Prashant Tamang as he is one of the finalists. Also, I think it is better to have more references to increase the citability of the article and creditibility of article. I did not find "What wikipedia is not" limiting the number of citations per article. All the references are present from citations and no other references have been added. If there is some problem with "over citing", please remove the appropriate citations. Please feel free to remove the external links, if need be. Also, Prashant Tamang is NOT Nepalese Idol. He is Indian idol contestant of Nepalese origin. Please bear that in mind. Thank you. --Eukesh10:04, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by saying Also, Prashant Tamang is NOT Nepalese Idol. He is Indian idol contestant of Nepalese origin. Please bear that in mind. Thank you. Just yesterday Sunita Williams came to India. She an American National of Indian origin. But why were all your politicians pretending as though she is an Indian. I heard in Aaj Tak, Narendra Modi who never mentioned anything about Sunita, even when she made her space conquest; was also eager to meet her. And then during the Fifa Worldcup 2006, Vikash Doraso.. who is a French player of Mauritan origin. And then I read in Times of India coloumns which tried to prove as though he is from India it self... So what's your problem if the Nepalese people take him as a Nepali Idol.. we are taking Prashant... and he too doesn't have a problem with that.. So what's your problem.. Or is there a rule that only people whom you people think should be indian idol should be chosen. Even Udit Narayn, Danny Dengzonpa, Manisha Koirala, Binod Pradhan, Bhaichung Bhutia... all those Gorkha regiment that protect your motherland are of nepali origin... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.70.64.41 (talk) 06:20, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Too many external links for one idol, makes no sense..pls limit it to 2 or 3 only.
well, the citations need to stay. There are 4 external links. If the links are irrelevant to the page, please feel free to delete them. Btw, this article was featured in the DYK part of mainpage which might have something to do with the article being properly cited and providing relevant links. If the article continues to grow, who knows, it might be a featured article (which definitely needs a lot of external links and citations). Thank you.--Eukesh15:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
this article should be deleted. none of the other Indian idol 3 contestants have articles, why should he have 1? either it should be deleted or all the other contestants should get an article.
Whosoever this is, take this: the Idol wikiproject consensus allows ALL THE FINALISTS OF ANY IDOL PROGRAMS IN THE WHOLE OF EARTH TO HAVE A PAGE OF THEIR OWN IN WIKIPEDIA. If you think that you need to create article of other finalists, go ahead. No one is stopping you. But if you vandalize this page again or mark it for deletion, please be notified that you will be marked for blocking from editing in this page again. Thank you.--Eukesh08:27, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
