Tai Situ

[edit]

"Tai Situ" (ta'i si tu) is a title, awarded by the Ming and other Emporers with a seal, not a personal name. This title was being used in the opening paragraphs like a name. As per Manual of Style it is better use a name rather than a title or credential so "Tai Situ Changchub Gyaltsen" should be shortened to "Changchub Gyaltsen" not "Tai Situ". So I am changing occurences "Tai Situ" to Changchb Gyaltsen. Chris Fynn (talk) 07:20, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The title Tai Situ for Changchub Gyaltsen was awarded by the Mongol Yuan dynasty, not Ming. However, since Changchb Gyaltsen apparently accepted this title and actually used it, it has already become part of his name, not just as a title. There is no need to deliberately change "Tai Situ Changchub Gyaltsen" to "Changchub Gyaltsen". --Evecurid (talk) 14:46, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
