Should it be noted that Peter Brown has yet to record his religion in his works? Bias? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.8.121.211 (talk) 04:37, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
Brown has been explicit about his upbringing in a Protestant minority in Dublin, and the effect of this on his academic interests - hence the mention of it in the 'Early Life' section. To my knowledge, no professional questions about 'bias' in this connection have been raised in the academic community, although Brown's work has been extensively analyzed. If such questions arise, it might be appropriate for Wikipedia to reflect that; but I'm not sure it's the role of an encyclopaedia to initiate such questions.94.53.68.197 (talk) 06:09, 9 September 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.53.68.197 (talk)

M.A.?
[edit]Did Brown ever have his B.A. converted to an Oxonian M.A.? It seems that he qualified for such given his number of terms as a member of the university. Best wishes, Hoktiwe (talk) 15:40, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Intro is too short
[edit]There isn't really any information about his scholarship in the intro, just a list of his main subjects. I think a summary of major contributions is wanted. 129.98.42.173 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 14:33, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
"Career" section incompatible with a general use encyclopedia
[edit]Good Lord! This section reads exactly like a Curriculum Late — and is, thus, sterile of information that might remotely interest a reader of Wikipedia. I'm sure there's a Mr. Brown Curriculum Late easily accessible online, for anyone in need of this sort of information. For the sake of readership and relevance of the article I suggest either rewriting this section from another perspective, or just dropping 80-90% of it. 2001:818:DC22:B100:58F8:9AA:D554:1064 (talk) 17:41, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
