Foucault and others, wrongfully labeled as 'pedophile'

[edit]

I think this article is quite unclear and helps to spread wrong information. For example: under the heading 'France' it is stated that Foucault wanted to lower the age of consent. That's true, but the article is called 'pedophile advocacy groups'. The word 'pedophile' is a highly negative term, and it is unclear what this article means with the term pedophile. Foucault wanted to lower the age of consent for homosexual sex, to the age of consent for heterosexual sex. Calling him a pedophile is therefore wrong and even discrimanatory. While the article doesn't call him a pedophile, it does insinuate it. I think that's a wrong thing to do. Especially with a highly controversial topic as pedophilia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucas Timmerman (talkcontribs) 15:08, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
