This editorial, where he argues that there is no global warming but instead global cooling was my first introduction to this person. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8299079.stm He seems to be quite out there in terms of his positions so its surprising that there's nothing on his wiki page. Not only is he a skeptic of the theory in general. He apparently does not acknowledge basic climate records even for the last few years. 18:16, 10 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.91.175.129 (talk)
"Out there"? Not really. All he was doing there was drawing attention to some debates and arguments around climate change. There's not much in this recent piece in terms of "positions". --Dannyno (talk) 19:54, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the person above, and would not be suprised if the page has been created by Paul himself on a slow work day. Next thing will be a page dedicated to my cat, Speckles, who has his own theories on Global Warming. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.30.73.70 (talk) 03:37, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in agreement with the previous posts. The article reads as if he wrote it himself. There's no mention of his odd views on climate change. Possibly needs sorting out. 129.215.197.194 (talk) 16:31, 12 November 2009 (UTC) (lionfish)[reply]
This is the first time I've added to a Talk page so apologies in advance if I get something wrong. He has a blog on the BBC site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulhudson/) which may not be openly sceptical in content but plays a "Oh there're all sorts of views out there - who's to know for sure..." line. He publicises papers from the journal E&E (http://www.multi-science.co.uk/ee.htm) which has a, er, questionable history of peer-review rigour, one could say. In the first article mentioned above, which became the first post in the blog he wrote: "For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures." And I'd agree that the article does sound like he wrote it himself! Fig Bork (talk) 16:56, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the section from this article entitled 'love-hate relationship with Christa Ackroyd', as it was somewhat negative and entirely unsourced. Per the BLP policy, this content should not be re-added without reference to a reliable source. Robofish (talk) 17:12, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
