Well, I arranged them alphabetically, only to have them changed by you. Now you know the logic behind my arrangement, but I'm still in the dark as to yours. Lapsed Pacifist (talk) 13:12, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Where does it say on Wikipedia guidelines to group cats alphabetically? Snappy (talk)
I don't know if it does or not, but it was recommended to me before so I suppose I sort of took it on faith. What I'm doing is explaining the logic behind my ordering. Can you explain yours? Are you going to ambush me now after giving me enough rope to hang myself and tell me your system is based exactly on Wikipedia's categorisation guidelines?! Lapsed Pacifist (talk) 14:29, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So you heard it second hand, but didn't bother to look it up yourself. Then proceeded to impose your alpha sort anyway. Tell you what, why don't you go and actually look up the wikipedia guidelines regarding categories yourself, then get back to here. Snappy (talk)
I was told it by someone whose judgment I trusted, so no, I didn't bother to look it up. It sounded logical enough. You've left me no wiser, so as far as I know that may well be the recommended order of categories. If you you're not going to tell me any different (and for whatever reason, you've been very reticent up to now) can you please tell me where I can find out for sure? Do you know?
