"A student, Don Willis, designed the mascot for Colorado Springs High School in 1945. I have his original drawing." posted by 66.227.92.138, moved by Chris 17:38, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Your edits to this article are not encyclopedic and go against WP:NPOV. You are welcome to edit any article, please bear in mind this is not a political forum and should not be used as a platform. I too was there in that period, and the motivations you claim for the student body simply did not exist as you describe them. Chris 05:49, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- As a ps-they did pass around a series of choices for the new mascot-the one that was chosen was changed some years later, so the present one is not the one chosen then, which is why it says 1990s and not 1987. Cheers. Chris 05:51, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]The bot doesn't recognize that this has an infobox. Should I change from the custom one to the standard one? What do you think? Chris 00:31, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- The standard one would look like this:

Lance Armstrong
[edit]A persistent vandal is now removing sources and changing text on Lance Armstrong. There are sources that he attended Palmer. Removing source material does not change that fact. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 23:49, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I have put this in at WP:3O to solve this once and for all. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 04:27, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
- The repeated removals of the referenced info are quite silly. I checked on the two sources which confirm Armstrong's graduation from the school. The official website of Lance just does not mention about his high school period, but says he was born in Texas. The newbie has been doing WP:OR.--Caspian blue 05:04, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Third opinion on Armstrong
[edit]⁂ I am responding to a request for a third opinion. I found another reliable source for this (KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs) and added it. If the edit warring continues, the article could use page protection unless every vandal involved is blocked. — Athaenara ✉ 05:10, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
And found another one[1] which is more specific. — Athaenara ✉ 05:28, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
- ^ Brian Gomez (August 10, 2007). "Armstrong shares the importance of cycling to children at fundraiser". The Gazette.
The seven-time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor, who retired in July 2005, received a thunderous applause from more than 500 people after his longtime coach, Chris Carmichael of Colorado Springs-based Carmichael Training Systems, introduced him as a former Palmer High School student. "Yep, Palmer High School," Armstrong said with a laugh. "My good buddy, (ESPN anchor) Chris Fowler, who is here tonight, went to Palmer High School. Neither he nor I are the most famous that ever went there. Elvira (actress Cassandra Peterson) went to Palmer High School." Armstrong, 35, attended Palmer in the late 1980s after he joined the U.S. cycling developmental team, which was headquartered at the Olympic Training Center, and later earned his diploma from a private school.
