"Pallas" and "Pallas Athena"

[edit]

The mention by Edgar Allen Poe of "Pallas" is purely a reference to "Pallas Athena", this title being so well known as to be used instead of her name. This may lead to some understandable confusion, but its important to realise that references to "Pallas" in poetry usually refer to Athena. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Saktoth (talkcontribs) 04:37, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge article with Pallas (Giant)? They seem to be talking about the same mythological figure. 128.54.45.3 (talk) 18:16, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They are usually considered to be different, but sometimes confused or conflated (as the history of this article demonstrates). Paul August 18:25, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Son of (otherwise unknown) Megamedes"

[edit]

Megamedes means 'Great ruler' it's another name for Krius, Pallas's father. Krius also means ruler. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeaTactia (talkcontribs) 15:04 21 November 2021 (UTC)
