Aerial Assault on MS, a hidden port?

[edit]

I believe Aerial Assault on Master System (Sega Mark III) is also a port of this game. The level design looks very similar. Aerial Assault was first sent to magazines to be reviewed under the name "Freedom Fighters" (see Player One n°2 release of October 1990) and was renamed before its release. Freedom Fighters also appears on the title display of the PC Engine release.

I believe there was a license conflict with the Laserdisc Arcade game "Freedom Fighters" released earlier in the 80ies, which was later released on CDI under the name "Escape from Cyber City".

I have no source to confirm all of this though, except for my own observations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chipstouille (talkcontribs) 15:02, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
