Mining at Tsumeb from 1936 to 1940
[edit]I have undone deletion of the reference to German control of copper mining between 1936 and 1940 and added reference citations. Although the location was no longer a German colony during this period, German owners operated the mine as a foreign company during South African control of the colony until the mine was seized as enemy property in 1940.Thewellman (talk) 04:31, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Loop or bridge?
[edit]Ist this a loop or just a bridge? --NearEMPTiness (talk) 07:42, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- What a fascinating photo! Do you know the location? I haven't heard of any loop on the Otavi line, but I believe there were some separate Heeresfeldbahn lines in the vicinity around the time of construction, and some of the personnel appear to be in military uniforms; so it might be a photo of the Otavi line crossing over one of those Heeresfeldbahn.
