Initial revisions

[edit]

In going back to the source material, it became evident that Orion OB1a and Orion OB1b got mixed up. So the correction has been made, placing Orion's Belt in OB1b, which is what Brown 1994 had indicated when summarizing Adriaan Blaauw's 1964 paper. I also included an image found in the Italian Wikipedia with a minor upgrade for the 25 Orionis Group. I assume this picture is more or less accurate, but will endeavor to do the research in the next few weeks, improving the article as we go along. If anyone has any thoughts as to what would be useful to include in this article, please let me know.--Sadalsuud (talk) 16:20, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The star ζ Ori (Alnitak) in the Orion Belt is generally given as part of the OB 1b subgroup, but in this image it is outside, and not part of any shown association.  --Lambiam 07:57, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
