Answer to the queries from the "Multiple issues" tamplade

[edit]
  • I am a mathematician (see details on my website). As an expert I can say that the notion of orientation in mathematics is more general then the notion of orientation on vector space. the redirection was probably justified at the time it was putted since there is a relation between the 2 notions, but it will be more useful to have an article (even a stab) with links to more relevant articles (e.g. Orientability).
  • I'll put some general sorses on the topic. Infract, a lots of the information on the topic is already exist in the English wiki with references, in the articles Orientability and Orientation (vector space). My main goal in crating this article was to let the reader know that one can look in both those articles for furthered information and not just in the second one.
  • In the future is it will be good idea to make a detailed article about this topic. such article already exist in some langwidges (I've written one in the Hebrew wiki).

I understand that that my last ediet was revert since the notion of Orientation in English have other math meaning. Indeed it make sense that this page will redirect to the relevant section in the orientation disambiguation page. However, I think the notion of an orientation on a geometric object does deserve a seperte artical (like it have in severald other lengwiges) and not just a redierct to the notion of orientability. So I'll move the text that was removed from this page to Orientation (space) where it is more suitable. I'll also change the connection to the wikidata accordingly.
