Vandalism and unreferenced claims

[edit]

Noticing an abundance of poorly referenced or uncited claim. Someone close the this article’s subject seems to be trying to remove unflattering information and adding material with little to no relevance. Fulltimehistorian (talk) 21:27, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maintenance template

[edit]

The article consists of five paragraphs about the man's life, career and intellectual output, followed by six paragraphs of lurid detail about him getting fired from his job and making dumb posts on Xitter. While it seems to indeed be the case that he said a bunch of dumb stuff on Xitter, I question whether this warrants a lengthy rundown of each dumb thing he said, especially when the rest of his career is essentially not mentioned. jp×g 21:15, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

>>when the rest of his career is essentially not mentioned
Provide the sources, please. I did try my best to find sources, as is clearly evident.
>>followed by six paragraphs of lurid detail about him getting fired from his job
You perhaps need to take this up with The Daily Telegraph, The Times etc. TrangaBellam (talk) 11:16, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi JPxG, I will appreciate some sources about the "rest of his career". TrangaBellam (talk) 14:10, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reinstated his explanation for his tweets as a denial per WP:PUBLICFIGURE. This was removed by TrangaBellam under WP:MANDY which is not policy. I also have some reservations about the current depth devoted to his controversies. Morbidthoughts (talk) 02:18, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jazz musician?

[edit]

This is nowhere addressed in the main body of the article save the opening paragraph. Citations needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.102.146 (talk) 01:52, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Father

[edit]

Calling him simply a "local politician" is to obfuscate and elevate the family background; he was, per his obituary cited, by occupation a record-store owner, previously a salary/ wages clerk for a construction company. The obituary notably doesn't really give any real detail of his work in "local politics", implying when he was given a chiefly title (these being dime-a-dozen, of course...), he was a figure of some minor local influence who no doubt weighed in on one subject or another. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.102.146 (talk) 01:55, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
