LaPaglia Brothers Issue
[edit]There has recently been some issues between former students of NMHS and Rostrevor College over the alumni status of Anthony and Jonathan. Let me clarify this:
One doesn't have to graduate from a school to be considered alumni, the fact they they attended the school, for no matter how long or short a time they are still considered alumni. It is very well known that the brothers attended NMHS (one of it's former schools actually). Dichen Lachman didn't graduate from NMHS either but she still attended. Please stop bickering over this, it's pointless. Natski-asnd8 07:53, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- In the spirit of compromise, I added a disclaimer. Note however, that reliable dictionaries (of which www.dictionary.com is not, but I have little choice in online sources) specifically state that alumni are graduates first, and attendees second - see http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/alumni - so in the true sense of the word, you're all wrong and I'm right. But heh- that's the public system for you, produces lifelong whingers!!

Musicals
[edit]In 2004, the Drama faculty began production of a student-written drama serial entitled, 'Can ya land a nigga a pencil?'; a public outcry ultimately deemed this play too offensive to perform and instead "Third-Rate Schooling", a semi-autiobiographical history of the Norwood Morialta school merger dating 1974-2004 was performed.
- Never heard of it 202.6.138.35 05:24, 6 November 2006 (UTC)\
- The musical this year (2007) 'Annie' was quite impressive. The beginning was quite interesting but as the story went on the momentum of the story slowed down.
Drama
[edit]Rocky horror and SOund of music have never been done as musicals
- In 2002 drama students promoted their play by racing around classrooms in costume. Mrs Kaidonis was getting ready to pound them.
- They still do that Natski-asnd8 10:10, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
STV
[edit]STV does not exist.
- STV was never broadcast at NMHS. Please stop writing about things that don't exist. Natski-asnd8 09:17, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
SRC
[edit]No knoledge of rear gate incident involving Home Group G2 and the SRC. Poor grammar and spelling errors in false information. Will revert back to another previous version of article.
Alzahari Husin
[edit]The day the terrorist got on the front page of the newspaper, the paper mysteriously disappeared from the library....very suspicious....
I really don't think that this guy should be included in the Notable Alumni.
2005 Machete attack
[edit]Should this be included? I swear everyone I come across has mentioned this about our school, and it seems we're getting a neutral reputation for it, ha.
- Yeah I remember that, it was on the news...I can't find anything on it now though. And then there was the bomb threat around the same time. There was another attack 2 years before that one on a kid by an asian gang. But it's not really worth mentioning because it wasn't too major, the last one was more of a bad joke than anything serious. Natski-asnd8 04:43, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Notable Alumni
[edit]Removed unsourced Notable Alumni as per Admin Kusma's Kusma (talk)(unilateral) policy regarding other South Australian Schools. Please address all concerns on his talk page. —The preceding signed but undated comment was added at 06:25, August 21, 2007 (UTC).
- There is no such policy. Please do not address this on my talk page, but discuss this article here. Thank you, Kusma (talk) 18:52, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
The reputation of a school is enhanced by an illustrious list of notable alumni. If anybody has some time to research Norwood High School history, there are many academics, doctors, lawyers (including judges) and other high profile who have matriculated over the years. I recall that in 1960, there were many exceptional students. Gobbo Senior (talk) 02:30, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- I've tried to find as many notable alumni as I can, what's difficult is finding people that can be referenced as having attended our schools. It's well known in both the school and wider community that Neil Craig attended Norwood High School, but I cannot find any reputable articles, books, or web pages where this is said. Finding people is hard enough, getting proof that they attended is even harder. Any help in finding and referencing is much appreciated. Natski-asnd8 (talk) 09:58, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
