The result of the move request was: Pages moved following alternate proposal. Andrewa (talk) 17:34, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
– Having created the article on Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Norman B. Gray, and having found the hockey player Norm Gray, which is short for Norman, I am highly doubtful that this stub represents the primary topic of that name. BD2412 T 14:03, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Comment not sure I agree with (Newfoundland) as a disambiguator, I'd recommend something like Norman Gray (Canadian politician).--Ortizesp (talk) 17:19, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- I would be fine with that. I note that Norman Gray (politician) already redirects here, but Norman B. Gray also held political offices. BD2412 T 21:13, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and would also support Ortizesp's alternative proposal of Norman Gray (Canadian politician). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:39, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support Norman Gray (Newfoundland politician). He was a politician before Newfoundland became part of Canada, so "Canadian" is anachronistic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:40, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- I would likewise support Norman Gray (Newfoundland politician). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 15:35, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not dead set against it, but it's not as though there was a Norman Gray (Newfoundland baker) or Norman Gray (Newfoundland astronomer) to require disambiguation by profession. BD2412 T 17:45, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- We just don't use a place as a disambiguator for people. People disambiguators are supposed to specify what they were. And he certainly wasn't a Newfoundland. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:45, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

- Support either Norman Gray (Newfoundland) or Norman Gray (Newfoundland politician). Disambiguation is clearly needed, and I can support either, but I prefer Norman Gray (Newfoundland) because it's shorter.
However, I oppose Ortizesp's suggestion of Norman Gray (Canadian politician), because it's an anachronism. This man was in the Newfoundland House of Assembly from 1932 to 1934, which is fifteen years before Newfoundland joined Canada in 1949. So he was indeed a "Newfoundland politician", but not a "Canadian politician".
Pinging @Roman Spinner, BD2412, and Ortizesp: please can we not use "Canadian"? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 10:13, 14 March 2020 (UTC)- I'm fine with Norman Gray (Newfoundland politician).--Ortizesp (talk) 15:57, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- I am also fine with Norman Gray (Newfoundland politician). My original proposal included "Newfoundland", not "Canadian". BD2412 T 19:40, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
