Does anyone have a reference for these claims about the Nor'wester - having lived in Canterbury for 20 years, I'm not denying the effect - I'd just like to see some actual science first.--Trevva 20:48, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did post some references to work by the late Dr Neil Cherry a couple of years ago, but because it only examined part of the mechanism (ion levels causing hormonal changes) and didn't specifically mention "Norwester", it got deleted. dramatic 17:29, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The deleted link actually did use the term "nor'wester". Looking at the edit summary, I suspect the editor who deleted it simply didn't bother to read far enough. I've reintroduced it and given a quote to make clear which bit is relevant. -- Avenue 14:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
