Move page to "Nirbhay (missile)" in line with naming convention

[edit]

Recommending Move page to "Nirbhay (missile)" in line with naming convention followed across wikipedia for missiles and also to prevent confusion — Preceding unsigned comment added by Standardengineer (talkcontribs) 16:47, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Manik Engine

[edit]

The engine has no WP:RS of it's own. Might make sense to merge this with Nirbhay or remove it entirely. Adamgerber80 (talk) 05:46, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of this discussion was to combine the two articles. Adamgerber80 (talk) 00:20, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merge - The engine doesn't meet WP:GNG due to the lack of reliable secondary sources. Even primary sources that mention the engine are hard to come by. I was able to find only three mentions - a newsletter, a tweet and a tender where the engine's name is made hard to read by using white text on white background. • Merge The engine is part of the missile and does not warrant a separate article and by itself will not meet WP:GNG --Hagennos (talk) 05:35, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Gazoth,Hagennos So some new information has emerged on Manik in WP:RS. I still think that this not sufficient to warrant an article of it's own. But based on this new source ([1]). Manik is indeed a turbofan engine but makes no mention of it's use in Nirbhay missile. Instead it states that this could be used in the Indian UAV programme. The source does not specifically mention which DRDO UAV but my guess is DRDO Rustom. In light of this, I am unsure if this should be merged with this article but instead with the other one. Thoughts? LR LACM

[edit]

There are new reports in some articles about an LR LACM/ Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile as a new missile or more possibly an upgrade of Nirbhay. Is there any reliable data about that we can add here? SReader21 (talk) 22:37, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
